The McKinney North Winterguard competed at Coppell High School this past Friday, March. 5th.  They earned a First Place trophy for their performance in the Scholastic AA division and earned a high enough score to bump them into the next division, Scholastic A.

Congratulations to the following McKinney North Band small ensembles who competed for ratings at the MISD Ensemble Contest held at Boyd High School this past Saturday, Feb. 20th.  The following groups earned a Division 1 (Superior) rating and a medal for their performance.  The MNHS Band earned a total of 49 medals throughout the day.

The McKinney North Winterguard competed at the Arlington Bowie and earned 3rd place in the Scholastic AA division this past Saturday Feb. 6th.

Catch them in their next performance on Friday, Feb. 26th at Frisco Centennial HS.  Performance time TBA.

Honorable Mention to Ana Viramontes, 11 on piccolo, who was selected 1st chair at All-Area, but was not selected to the All-State band.

The directors are very proud of these students and their efforts.  The Texas All-State bands will meet in conjunction with the Texas Music Educators Conference in San Antonio from Feb. 10 - 13.

[October 10, 2009, Little Elm, Texas] The McKinney North band had another great performance this past Saturday at the Little Elm Marching Festival. The band placed 2nd in our class and 9th overall in preliminary performance, earning a high enough score to advance to finals.  In addition, the band earned 1st place Marching, 1st place Color Guard, and 2nd place Drumline in our class in the preliminary competition.
 

After finals, the band earned 9th Place in all classifications, which included all classes and band sizes. Colorguard received 2nd place in Finals. We are so proud of the band's efforts!
